SCARFL: Batemans Bay Seahawks

Bateman’s Bay Seahawks Media Release March 2010
Seahawks win pre-season clash.

The Bateman’s Bay Seahawks have recorded a hard fought seven point win over the Bomaderry Tigers in Nowra last Saturday. Coach Brett Pedder used the practice match to trial a number of new recruits to the club as well as a number of last seasons juniors who are ready to step up to first grade for 2010. Mr. Pedder says the team is focused on exacting revenge for last years Grand Final loss and he says the weekend’s trial fixture provided a good solid workout for the team.
In the meantime Seahawks President John Veneris says the club is pleased with the progress being made on the playing surface at Hanging Rock. The Seahawks, Eurobodalla Cricket together with Eurobodalla Shire Council and the AFL are working together to ensure the ground will be ready for the Seahawks first home game against Narooma on April 24th and up to the riggers of the Sydney Swans Reserves v Eastlake clash scheduled for August. He says the ground will be ready to play on in about a fortnight. The club has a working bee scheduled for 9am tomorrow at Hanging Rock.
